Dear Parents/Guardians, Students and Friends of Prospect High School,
Presentation Assembly
Congratulations to all recipients of awards at the Celebration Assembly held last Tuesday afternoon in the Prospect High School gymnasium. This was an opportunity to celebrate and recognise cultural, academic, citizenship, sporting and leadership achievements of individuals and recognise every Grade 10 student as a much-valued member of our school. Thank you to guests, parents and family members and staff who attended. Thanks also to sponsors for donation of prizes.
Grade 10 Celebration Dinner
Grade 10 students and staff enjoyed the Celebration Dinner held on Thursday night at the Country Club Casino. The graduates or should I say young ladies and men looked stunning and enjoyed the food, music and dancing. The Grade 10 graduates have had four great years at Prospect High School and made close friendships, some of which will be life-long friendships. I would like to acknowledge the hard work and creativity that went into the preparation of this evening. The decorations and table settings looked amazing and students looked stunning. Students and staff enjoyed the catering, music and dancing. I would also like to acknowledge the Grade 10 team - Many teachers especially the 2022 Grade 10 team have made a significant contribution to guiding and supporting you this year. This team - Ms Sandra De Paoli (SGL), Mr Will Reynolds (GL), Care Teachers: Mrs Allison Hay, Mrs Tamieka Pace, Mrs Katrina Knowles, Mr Aaron Gilligan, Ms Emily Burn, Mrs Belinda Hawkins, Mrs Jan Phillips and Assistant Principal Ms Bonnie Hall who have made a significant contribution to guiding and supporting Grade 10 students this year. Speeches by Jakeb and Ellina also acknowledged care and support of this team and the enormous impact Prospect High School has had on Grade 10 graduates over the past four years.
Student Success
Congratulations to Grade 10 student Charlotte who participated in the Australian Brain Bee Challenge representing Tasmania and came 4th In Australia. What an outstanding achievement in her final year at Prospect High School.

As participants in our partnership program with Beacon Foundation, Brad and Ondene from Prospect High and Rita and Fatemah from Kings Meadows High School joined teacher Adrienne and the Terrace Kitchen team for an evening of work experience at the Country Club.
The students helped set up an end of year event for around 80 guests including Country Club's stakeholders, suppliers and corporate and commercial partners.
When guests arrived, they were greeted and given their name tag by Ondene who then joined Brad, Rita and Fatemah on the floor to serve drinks and canapes to attendees throughout the evening.
It was a great opportunity for the students to get a taste for working in conferencing and events from setup through to pack down and add some real world experience to their resume as they prepare to make the transition from school to the workplace.
