• Prospect High School have several Leadership opportunities that are available for students to apply for.  We have a SRC (Student Representative Council) which has students from grade 7, 8 and 9. These positions are designed to support the wonderful work of our Year 10 Student Leadership Board and grow their own leadership potential. Along with supporting whole school initiatives and activities, our leaders in Year 7, 8 and 9 will have their own focus on building positive connections within their grade cohort and other activities including contributing to grade and whole school assemblies, sharing updates on our various media platforms, contributing to implementation of our new school values and transition opportunities.

The following positions below are for Grade 10 students only. The application process usually begins late in Term 3 of the previous year:

Student Leader Board

  • Opportunities for SLB members to develop leadership skills.
  • The opportunity to participate in selecting the Co-Presidents and to determine roles and priorities for the year.
  • Election to the position through a ballot. (Student voice – the whole school has a say in who their student leaders will be).
 Sport Leader Program
  • Sport Leaders can develop leadership skills and apply these skills to coaching junior sport teams.
  • Selection through suitable application and behavioural record and possible interview.

 Peer Support Program

  • A program where students have a more specific role helping younger students with learning.
  • Time in timetable to carry out the role comes from a subject(s) that the students is already doing.
  • Selection through suitable application and behavioural record and possible interview.
